
Tolowa elders Frank Richards and his sister Marian Lopez shared their memories growing up in the small town of Smith River near the Oregon border. Frank is a World War Two veteran of the Army Air Corps and shared his experiences as a ball-turret gunner aboard a B-17. Marian is a member of the United Indian Health Services board and has been a tribal council member for the Smith River Rancheria for many years. Their Living Biographies program aired in June of 2001.
